Meetings and Special Events

The St. Louis Genealogical Society hosts meetings, programs, and other events throughout the year. See our full calendar of events for an overview of upcoming activities.

Monthly and SIG Meetings

The society’s monthly meetings are held monthly, except during the month of our Family History Conference and in December. Meetings are hybrid, with both in-person and Zoom attendance, and are held at the Clark Family Branch of the St. Louis County Library. Monthly meetings are free and open to everyone and are generally held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 noon. See the Monthly Meeting page for information about the next meeting and links to recent recordings.  All scheduled meetings can be found on the Events Calendar.

The society sponsors three Special Interest Groups (SIGs), each offering meetings four times a year. Meeting times, days, and locations vary. These meetings are free and open to everyone. Use the Overview link to learn more about a SIG or the Events link to see its upcoming meetings on the calendar.

Workshops and Special Events

Beginning in 2025, StLGS began offering all-day hands-on workshops designed to give participants practical experience with genealogy tools and research techniques. These workshops combine instruction, demonstrations, and guided activities so participants can apply what they learn during the session.
